The Importance of Reading

So when I was growing up, I think everyone would buy me books! My parents, my family…I was always reading. For summer holidays, my mother would ensure she got me a nice fat book to read during my days at home. Some of them had huge words and I would ask every adult or cousin to help me with the pronunciation. Sometimes during the day, I’ll underline the words and wait for a cousin to come by to ask for help. Reading has proven to help with developing intellect. It helps with vocabulary spelling and speech. This helps him building great communication skills. In a world where technology has literally taken over the way we communicate, I always find the comfort of a good book, provides intellectual stimulation that can only be found in its pages. I urge all of you, keep reading and encourage the young ones to read as well
